Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

Garden Details:

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is a premier regional botanical garden that is quite simply a beautiful place to explore. A huge collection of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and annuals are labeled are a real treat for any gardener. The region's largest tulip display makes April a glorious time to visit, but don't neglect the colors of our annuals displays all summer. Fall might be the best time to visit with plenty still in bloom, consistently good weather, smaller crowds, and fall foliage. Be sure to see the many themed gardens and realistic animal exhibits. The Center for Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW) is at the forefront of plant conservation, and the Zoo's Native Plant Program is highly respected throughout the country. The Excellence in Horticulture series of symposiums has gained a strong audience, and our outreach is vast and growing. The Zoo Hort Team trials all categories of plants. Look for results on our website. But, mostly, come and enjoy our beautiful gardens! Oh, and we have animals too!
